Author Talks
Check out our Animoto video of author talks presented by students! This was a great experience to help students learn about authors and get motivated to read and write. They LOVED the idea of starring in a video too:)
Animoto is an awesome tool and so easy to use! I simply upload pictures, videos, choose music, and Animoto creates a video/slideshow for me! Students love to be included and see real pictures of their friends... what an effective tool to motivate students to learn. I can see this being helpful in our Science unit (health/ safety). I could take pictures of students being safe, or different ways to exercise to be healthy. Or small groups could create their own animoto video on a specific topic to teach the rest of the class about it:) Why are they so much more engaged when other students are doing the teaching? :)
You are so right, they love to learn fron one another and love more than anything to see themselves in a movie. Your Animoto was super cute! I loved the clips at the beginning and end. They all looked very proud to be in the video. I hope you continue to use it as a tool!
